Ran across this while I was checking to see if my local cineplex would be having a midnight showing of "Serenity":
From Variety.com:
"Simon was helped in his mission by Capt. Malcolm Reynolds...Also on board...corn-fed farm girl Kaylee (Jewel Staite, Whedon's real-life wife)..."
HUH?!? Did I miss something or is this a serious mistake made by the reviewer. I looked up both their bios and, unless they haven't been updated lately, they are not listed as each other's spouses. In fact, it said Jewel just got married a couple of years ago but it wasn't to Joss!

Nope you didn't miss anything. The reported did. Big error. Joss and wife not too long ago had a 2nd child. He has mentioned that his wife lived in China for a while, which had a bearing on why chineese was used in the movie.
