I don't know if it's made the news overseas yet but another Category 4 to 5 hurricane, Rita, is headed for the Gulf Coast. This one is headed more towards the Houston, Galveston regions of Texas but there is a good possibility that the outer arm of it will hit the already devasted city of New Orleans which will lead to more flooding and damage. Thankfully, government officials learned a hard lesson from the inadequate response to Katrina and have instituted mandatory evacuations for most of the area and have sent in buses to transport people out of the region as well as evacuated hospitals and nursing homes. They also have emergency supplies ready to get into the area once the storm passes. Please pray for all those in the area, especially those who are Katrina refugees who now find themselves displaced once again. Hopefully, the precautions being taken will lessen the lose of life this time around.
