Hey man, i just wanted to say that Nate rules. I loved Johnny on two guys, and he was great as an evil preacher,, but as Mal,, come on, who didn't love when he booted the guy into the intake? I hope the movie comes off half as well as the show did. Joss is a genius. Nate, it's always great to see a canuck do well, especially when it's deserving.

Well how to start and how to make this message not too long to bore the socks or pants off you.

I really first noticed you as the deliciously evil Caleb in Buffy. There is not much that really scares me these days, but your performance certainly put the chills on me! It was superb! Great accent, that really helped! When a friend of mine mentioned you were in Firefly, I had to watch. I fell in love with Mal and the rest of Serenity crew, and I was more than shocked when it was cancelled. But this movie...this is going to be huge and you guys and Joss, really do deserve it all!

Here is me, wishing you all the best to your future, and the others, and please keep flyin'. We all love you.

I watched Firefly from day one and LOVED every minute of it, but somehow, in the back of my mind knew that FOX would kill it when i really fell in love with it, which didnt take long. Anyway, i was awesomely surprised when Caleb made an apearance on Buffy, that was way cool, i dont think anyone else could have done a better evil-near invincible preacher! I also liked Clay (i think thats his name) from Blast from the Past, small part, but a funny one nonetheless.

I run a website called Fangirl Magazine. It's an online webzine written by, surprisingly, women who love sci-fi and horror but we don't limit it to that.

I am hoping to attend the Alternate Universe Con in Sacremento in July and was hoping I could have a chance to interview you for a few minutes for the site.

Mal has struck a cord with so many people in such a short time and Caleb was amazing (I consider him the Darth Maul of Buffy since he was around so briefly and was such a great baddie) I know readers at the site would love to hear from you.

Thank you so much for the great work you've done and shared!!!! And I truly believe that Malcolm Reynolds could beat the hell out of Kirk and Picard at the same time.

I went to the Serenity Con at Heathrow. In the autograph signing I couldn't think of anything to say other than thanks. This wasn't rudeness, or me just trying to act cool...it was the thought of being right next to Captain Reynolds!! I just blanked. So Nathan, you won't have a clue who I am but just so you know, all I wanted to do really was nod and say 'Cap'n'.

And maybe at the next con I'll actually pluck up the nerve to say 'Hi'. Even if you were mean about roleplayers (it was my gf that asked the question about the roleplaying!).

dude... you are so not alone. i dont think i even looked at Nate during the photo session, and what made it worse is that i spoke to Alan so i really hope Nathan wasnt offended .. i did get to briefly speak to him later though and he is a real nice guy..

as i said in my con report, if you ever get the chance to meet nathan or any of the guys again then dont let your nerves get the better of you. they are all such great people and you will really regret it. i know i do.

I just want to say how much I have enjoyed your performance as Mal. I've always found the "tortured soul" characters the most interesting and you play that aspect of Mal so well. There's always a sense of sadness lurking just below the surface that makes my heart ache for him. I look forward to seeing "Serenity" and wish you the best of luck with your future projects.
